Response to My Beliefs

Describe one time when your beliefs/ideals were challenged. What was the experience like? How did you react? What was the outcome?

            All my life i »ve grown up in a christian backround. I went to church almost every Sunday as a little. As i grew up i continued to believe in the christian believes and still today i do. When i started highschool kids will always play around and say « o there’s no God » constantly over and over, but i wouldn’t say anything to avoid conflict. One day one boy crossed the line and i had to jump in and say something. I had had it and was sick of how people act. Yea, we have a freedom of speech but people can still have some sense of respect. I let the boy say what he had to say, and i said what i had to say. He asked me questions like the most popular one, « if there was a God Why is there crime still going on . » I answered him and said, « You can’t exspect God to help those who hurt themselves and everyone else, its being selffish. » Plus everyone knows bad people don’t get rewared, its simple human beings selfish actions for all the crimes and bad things that happen. God’s intentions isn’t to hurt anyone and he doesn’t. In the end he still believe what he wanted to believe, but he began to show respect toward what i believe in, and apolize.
